Mud Masks and La Virgen

Mud Masks and La Virgen

The other night a lovely sister called Raquel invited a few of us over for mud masks and facials.
It was a bit of a tough week so it was a welcome distraction.  It's the first time that we've been so far away from two of our children and I miss Bree and Josh heaps, as well as the rest of our family and the so many good friends that we're blessed to have.

But where was I?  Oh yes mud ...

Soooo attractive!

She has lots of lovely children who kept us all entertained.

Before long we all wanted to get involved and the girls took great delight in smearing mud all over others faces.

This week we also visited a town called 'La Virgen' (The Virgin) - as the town is on the edge of Lake Nicaragua so it seems to always have a lovely cool breeze blowing through it which is lovely.

The lake is so huge it really feels like the sea shore, you can see a volcano there in the background.
We spent the day there; Porl, Chase, our friend Hayley from England and I.

It's a great source of water for road works, construction etc and the trucks just drive right into the lake and fill up.

I was just hoping that this isn't the water that we buy as 'purified'.  The tap water is fine here but very chlorinated so not that nice to drink, especially when we tend to drink gallons in this heat.  Anyway, Porl assured me that these were construction trucks - so all good on the drinking water front.
