Surfing at Playa Maderas
Mondays are our days off and usually involve a trip to the beach. Although there is a beach right here in town not a lot of swell gets in here so for surfing we take a shuttle out to one of a number of beaches within about a half an hour drive of where we live.
We all pile on to the back of a truck or pickup and off we go. We often see troupes of monkeys in the trees on the way but I am yet to get a good shot as we're usually bumping around the back like crazy.
This Monday we went to Playa Maderas or Maderas Beach. There were some nice little waves with a few big sets coming through quite frequently.

We had hamburgers on the beach after the surf and then the boys finished off the afternoon with a game of volleyball.
It was a lovely day!
